
Ingredients
- 3-4 ripe tomatoes (Campari, Roma, or Heirloom), sliced
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
- Fresh basil leaves
- 2-3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1-2 tbsp balsamic glaze (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients
- Slice the tomatoes and fresh mozzarella into even rounds. Wash and pat dry the basil leaves.
- Assemble the Salad
- Arrange the tomato slices, mozzarella, and basil leaves alternately on a serving platter (tomato, mozzarella, basil, repeat).
- Drizzle and Season
- Drizzle the olive oil (and balsamic glaze, if using) over the top. Sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
- Serve
- Serve immediately as an appetizer or side dish.
