I got out of my comfort zone this weekend and made a wonderful jicama salad! We were having grilled Sonoran Dogs and I wanted to have a lighter summer side to go with it. This was just the right mix of crunch, flavor, and freshness. 8/10 would make again! Get you jicama and more at Everybody’s Family Fruit. ????
Ingredients:
- Jicama
- Cucumbers
- Red Onion
- Cilantro
- Lime
- Olive Oil
- Salt
- Paprika
- Cayenne
- Optional:
- Mangoes, mini sweet peppers, avocado.
Recipe:
Julienne Jicama. Quarter cut cucumbers. Dice red onion. Finely chop cilantro. Add to a bowl and toss in olive oil until lightly coated. Add seasonings to taste, and hint of lime to bring out the full flavors. Let it relax for 30 minutes in the fridge and enjoy!
