Whipped cream made right at home! Check out our video on how to make your very own delicious, whipped cream at home. This was all in preparation for the release of our Berries and Cream Box which will be available this Saturday the 28th during our cash and carry sale. More details here: Cash and Carry Sale Details
Recipe:
Heavy Whipping Cream 1 cup
Powdered Sugar 1/3 cup
Optional – Vanilla Extract
How to Make: There were three different ways I could have made this; some are easier than others.
Jar technique
This jar technique is convenient if that’s all you have at your home. Simply add heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar to a jar, close the lid, and shake vigorously. You get a decently fluffy whipped cream that goes perfect on fruits and desserts. One thing I learned though, use a smaller jar (cut down the recipe if necessary) because shaking that giant jar for a few minutes was a workout!
Bowl and Whisk Technique
Add your ingredients together in a bowl and beginning whisking. Keep whisking until the peaks are stiff on the whipped cream or until you meet the consistency you would like.
Electric Mixer or Hand Mixer
Not any different from the bow and whisk technique, just by far the easiest and fastest to achieve that sweet, whipped cream.
Overall, knowing that it only takes minutes and you’re getting a delicious homemade dessert with ONLY 2 ingredients is amazing. Don’t be afraid to try this one at home, I can’t go back to canned whipped cream anymore! Again, check out our post about our cash and carry sale, you don’t want to miss it.
Some things and tips I learned while making this were: 1. Use a small jar to make shaking easier. 2. Keep everything as cold as possible. I put my jar in the freezer for a few minutes to cool down. You can also keep your bowl inside another bowl filled with ice to keep it cool.
